We are looking for a live-in au pair to replace our existing one, Lisa, who must go back to Australia in November 2006. Like Lisa, we want someone who absolutely adores children and wants to become a member of the family for a year or two. We have two children (Ziven who is 5 1/2 and Sasha who is 2 1/2). They both attend school but Ziven is currently in Africa to study History of Art and Culture.Our au pair will help us take the children to and from school, watch them after school (going on field trips to the zoo, gardens, parks, etc,), help take them to their activities (T-ball, Karate, Gymnastics, swimming, birthday parties, etc). She must be willing to help with tasks associated with the children ( i.e., cook some meals, shopping, clean up with them, children’s laundry, etc.). We are NOT looking for a house keeper (we have someone to help with that), rather, somone who will feel like a member of the family. We are looking for someone who has strong morals.

Let me tell you a little about our family.My wife Anne (38) and I (45) have two wonderful children, Ziven and Sasha. We adopted both of them from Russia (at different times) when they both were babies. They are the most amazing children you will ever meet.
Ziven is an incredible boy. He is very outgoing and is comfortable around children and adults. He recently finished 4-K at school and is now out for the summer. We were going to enroll in him a summer school, but our current au pair begged us not to so that she could spend more time with him. He enjoys all types of sports. He is currently a blue senior belt in karate and plays T-ball and basketball. He also enjoys music of all types. I know this sounds like a proud father….but, everyone who meets him describes him a “the most well mannered and outgoing child” they have ever met. I could go on hours about him.
Sasha is our little angel. She is very petite…but, don’t let that fool you. She is full of fire and life. Sasha goes to an early learning center during the day (the same one Ziven went to) where she takes music and is learning many of her basics (colors, shapes, etc.). She is definately our musically inclined child.e girl has music in her blood. She is strong willed and polite…. Like Ziven, I could talk hours about her.
Ziven and Sasha get their strength from my wife, Anne, who owns a catering /restaurant business (she has a degree in culinary arts). Anne enjoys spending time with the family, working out, cooking, friends, traveling, gardening, and many other things. I am a partner with a large law firm in Maryland. My children are everything to me. I enjoy coaching t-ball, practicing karate, golf, traveling, music, entertainingthere is nothing like shrimp boil with good music, close frineds and ice cold beer.
We are looking for someone will feel like a part of the family, participating in family vacations, outings, etc. We also want someone who will develop their own friends away from the family (i.e., outgoing, self assured, etc.). Our Au pair will have her own room with a queen sized bed, tv, dvd player, closet, and private bathroom. We also provide a car and cell phone.
